Happy Thanksgiving

We are off for a few days to get a little R&R before the crazy, busy season we all know and love really begins! We will be spending our Thanksgiving holiday with friends and family on a cruise to Mexico. I hope your holiday is filled with much love, good conversation with friends and family and of course some great food!

My challenge for you is sometime during this holiday get alone and really meditate on the things you are most thankful for. I am so thankful for so many things! My family, the peace I have in my life, the opportunity to get to photograph families who also love one another and desire to remember this time in there life. That is so full filling to me and during this time of year I get to know the greatest families! I am just so blessed and happy this Thanksgiving and I hope the same for you. Take time this season to stop and be still if only for a minute! Love your kids, hug your spouse, kiss your mom and really love one another! Most of all be Thankful...

This is one of my favorite family portraits we've photographed this Christmas! She did great on her clothes! We have set a challenge for families this season to put away the "Picture clothes" that have been the trend for years and think like a designer when putting your clothes together for your Holiday portrait. Great job Amy! If you need us we are here to help and want this to be a fun and cool experience! We will design a look that will really make a statement! If you haven't called for your appointment yet, do so quickly. We only have a couple more weeks to be able to send out Christmas cards. However we will be taking appointments for portraits untill the 15th of December! We will be back in the office on Wednesday after Thanksgiving!

Urban Kids

Are these two of the coolest kids or what?

I had so much fun with Griffin and Kennedy the other day doing this session. They were awesome!

It doesn't hurt that mom Meghan is the ultimate meaning of cool! She has been my greatest cheerleader throughout the years. Since the beginning of Major Images she has shared my name with all her clients and friends. Never does a day go by that I am not thankful and appreciative for all she has done for me including taking care of my long hair and helping keep my husband and kids from looking like rug rats. Thanks for everything and to Griffin and Kennedy great job!

Bradley Bader and the Lamar Vikings

Last week I had the opportunity to go out on the field to photograph a Lamar Vikings game for Brian and Tami Bader. It was so cool and I was able to create some really cool images of Brad and the team, which did great! Brad even scored a touch down while I was there and I got the shot of him running it in. Thanks for the great time and cool images. There are more images to come I just wanted you to get to see a few now.

Thanks to Ella Bella the coolest Children's Boutique in Arlington...

Thanks Kendra and the staff of Ella Bella Arlington!
We had so much fun photographing all the cutie patooties in the little red Christmas Petty and the snugly bugs in the precious winter white coats! I am always impressed by Kendra and the way she coordinates these fun events and the great clients she has come out for these sessions. What a great group of women! I have to say I think the cutest kids must shop at her store because all we saw throughout the day were beautiful families!
Thanks for coming out for the session, I think you guys will be really happy with what we created. These Portraits are going to make the cutest Christmas cards! Thanks again to Kendra and Ella Bella Arlington!

A few of my favorites from the day...
The winner's will be announced soon!
There were so many little cuties that we couldn't choose just one winner. It was so hard we had to get help from an outside judge panel just to help us pick the best two! One will be featured in the December issue of Living Magazine and one will be featured in the February issue for Valentines. We will let you know the winners soon! Thanks again to every one who came out. You all did great!

Experiencing Friendship though the Lens of a Camera can Inspire the inspired..

As I witnessed this beautiful young woman being loved and cared for from a group of women wanting more than anything for their friend Cindy to be ok I was moved to tears. I said to one of the girls, my dad always said to me "if at the end of your life you can count your true friends on one hand you've lived a blessed life." Here Cindy is with nine. One of the girls said, "she is the kind of friend that has friends that would do anything for her because she's done the same for us." In that moment I thought, "that is so much bigger than cancer! In the first few days of finding out, one of the girls, Melissa, came by the studio and said, "Bobbie Jo we have to do something," so we planned a fun girls night out for her and her best pals at my studio! We did a fun, light photo session for them to one lift her spirit and two to record this dynamic friendship. In that moment I was inspired to be a better friend." I always make time for my husband, my kids, my home and my business, but I struggle with making time for my friends, not because I don't cherish the relationships, it's just time. I was so emotional after the experience with this amazing group of gals, I began to think that Cindy will be ok irregardless of what the cancer does or doesn't do because she is so blessed by the love she's given to her friends and family. She has cancer, but cancer does not have her beautiful spirit or her blessed friendships.

After my moments with Cindy I want to give more love and time to the precious relationships I have been so blessed by. I am so honored to get to do what I do and experience the lives and relationships that are always precious to someone. These types of sessions are so dear to my heart and I really understand how important they are from losing my own dad and mother-in-law to sickness. I thank you for allowing me to record and experience the life stories you share.

To Cindy and her family & friends, I wish you peace, comfort and joy during this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, and thanks for all the laughs. You guys were great!
